About aha!

aha! Accessibility Help and Advice

aha! is an initiative created by the Inclusive Design Research Centre at the Ontario College of Art and Design University. The Project is undertaken with funding from the Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure. Our goal is to provide workshops and activities that will help small business employers better understand what it means to be inclusive. With a better understanding, employers will be able to both improve customer service and premise accessibility but also improve employment prospects for people with disabilities.

Accessibility is more than ramp

Accessibility means more business. Accessibility is the right thing to do and it also offers new market opportunities for business. According with the Ontario Government, greater accessibility can bring up to $1.6 billion in new spending for our tourism and up to $9.6 billion for our retail sector.
