We need volunteers to visit businesses in their communities and rate them for accessibility features.

What do you have to do?

  1. Sign up with the IDRC (info@idrc.ocadu.ca) so we can send you the tools and information that you will need.
  2. View the short, online training information and tips.
  3. Visit businesses in your neighbourhood, give the manager information about accessibility and rate the accessibility of each business.
  4. Return your rating sheets to the IDRC in person or by mail, email or fax or enter your ratings into the AXS maps application on your own before July 7th.
  5. Get credit for your work from IDRC.

How do you calculate your hours?

Your hours are calculated in one of two ways:

  1. If you enter your ratings into the AXS Map application on your own then four ratings is equal to one hour of service.
  2. If you submit your ratings on paper to IDRC for entry into AXS Map then six ratings is equal to one hour of service.
